Some day, maybe not too long from now, there won’t be any more Jews in America, and people will ask: “how could it have happened here?”

What can be done in the face of transgressions in the Jewish community, when no-one is perfectly righteous? We have to push each other to grow in Torah and Mitzvos, and be humbly aware of our own shortcomings.

In 2006 I was living in Israel when I witnessed an aggressive war, by a state that sees the domination of its neighbors as a matter of life and death.

When I was in the queer scene, no matter how I experimented with my gender, I felt just as much of a failure as I had trying to be a Midwestern good old boy.
